da bet nacional: Leeds United head to the Emirates on Monday to face Arsenal in what’s bound to be a tasty FA Cup clash.
da 888: The two English giants haven’t met all that often in recent years due to the fact that Leeds haven’t played in the top flight since 2004.
Monday’s game will be a different experience from what Leeds are usually used to as they will be playing against Premier League opposition in a stadium that holds over 60,000 spectators.
However, those two factors aren’t the only things that will make things different for the Whites on Monday.
Indeed, Adam Pope tweeted a reminder to Leeds fans that this fixture will represent the first time this season that VAR will be in use for one of United’s games. Understandably, some fans had quite a negative reaction to this news.
Others had a more positive reaction to this news as they believe that Leeds often find themselves being hard done by via refereeing decisions that VAR would have put straight.
To be fair, it’s hard to disagree with these supporters. Just as an example, Leeds lost 2-1 to Millwall partially down to a red card to Gaetano Berardi that was later rescinded.
One supporter was quick to remind fans of the infamous 1975 European Cup final using the hashtag #waccoe.
In other news, Marcelo Bielsa’s recent comments may indicate that Leeds only need one signing this month.
