If a recent report from the London Evening Standard is to be believed, Manchester United’s new signing Odion Ighalo is set to miss out on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI for the upcoming clash against Chelsea.
The same outlet explains that the forward is likely not to be physically ready for the game since he has been forced to miss the team’s training camp in Spain because of potential changes to border restrictions on people arriving in the UK from China amid the recent coronavirus outbreak.
For that reason, the loanee is still struggling to convince his gaffer he is worthy of a potential place in the lineup and, as a result, could sit out the game as he faces an uphill battle to prove he’s actually ready to play.
Upon seeing this update, however, lots of Man Utd fans were far from happy, saying that Ole is about to make a huge mistake that could even cost them the game…
Some of them simply can’t understand why this is happening in the first place. After all, he was loaned out to help his new team and score plenty of goals in the process.
For that reason, this decision just doesn’t make any sense.
There were also plenty of fans who were demanding that he is either thrown into the starting XI or at the very least onto the bench.
It seems they are eager to see him in action. Of course, one fan also said that Solskjaer probably plans to sub him in late on in the game since that has now become his trademark move at United…
And finally, there were also some fans who took this update as good news and were actually happy to see Ighalo left out.
In other news, there are three players Man United should be looking to offload in the upcoming transfer window…
