Celtic kicked off their 2019/20 season in positive fashion on Tuesday night, overcoming Bosnian champions FK Sarajevo 3-1 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League qualifying tie.
Despite conceding the first goal of the match, Neil Lennon’s side rallied and were level by the interval thanks to a wonderful long-range effort from winger Mikey Johnston.

Odsonne Edouard and Scott Sinclair then added goals in the second half to give the team a commanding lead ahead of the second leg at Celtic Park next Wednesday.
Johnston was given the nod at left wing by Lennon and didn’t disappoint with his performance, providing a constant attacking outlet as well as the goal before being substituted off due to injury.
The 20-year-old is progressing well under the new manager, starting five matches and scoring three goals since Lennon’s arrival, even considered to be important enough to the team to start the Scottish Cup Final in May.
